I felt like sharing this look on this fabulous First of March ! Guys, we are done & done with February and from here on spring is just a few steps away ... Now, I know this is not exactly an everyday wear. Quite the opposite. But you see, I’ve have this gown sitting in my walk-in since the day it was delivered. Last fall. Can you believe ? TBH, apart from a few time where I played dress up, bare foot in front of my mirror - yes, I sometimes find the time to do so. No shame in admitting it - It saddens me that It is just sitting there.
IRL I don’t do gowns on weekends. I use to, when I travelled with my husband but as some may know we just finished building our dream home. Someone needed to manage the contractors and so on. But we’re soon going to take off with the Husband as a family once more and you’ll get plenty of glam. Till then I’m often in loungewear and that’s all good.
Ok. Back to the gown. It needed a few adjustments, the sleeves should be tailored. I haven't made time to do so. Other wise nothing is wrong with it. I was a little surprise - in a good way - when I realized it didn’t need that much tailoring. I previously ordered an other gown from Nordstrom by a well known designer. Girlfriend, let me just say there was pins & needles everywhere when my tailor came over ... Not a pretty sight.
It’s from ASOS the brand is Lipsy, just in case you were wondering. They have great dresses and gowns at reasonable prices if you’re ever looking for one. You're welcome !
This lace, the length and the shape of the dress makes me feel like I am wearing Dolce & Gabbana * I am most certainly not comparing both brands. The feel of this garment is great. The “story” behind the RSVP and why this gown was never worn is simply that I was invited to attend a wedding and I had to cancel last minute - introverted style - but this was for a legitimate reason I swear !
